Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about taking a skill test, understanding topic performance, and improving your knowledge.

What is a skill test? ▼
A skill test is a structured knowledge assessment designed to measure your understanding across defined topics of a specific skill (such as Python, Excel, JavaScript, or SEO) and identify areas for focused review.
Is the Skill Test free to use? ▼
Yes, the Skill Test is 100% free to use. No registration, payment, or credit card is required to generate tests, view topic performance, or export results.
How does the Skill Test work? ▼
Select a skill and difficulty level, specify your question count, answer each multiple-choice question, and submit. The server evaluates your answers and returns an overall score along with topic-level performance metrics.
What skills can I test? ▼
You can test in-demand technical and business skills including Python, Microsoft Excel, JavaScript, HTML & CSS, Data Analysis, Digital Marketing, SEO, Cybersecurity, WordPress, and Project Management.
How many questions are included in a test? ▼
You can choose between 5, 10, 15, or 20 questions based on your available time and depth preference.
Can I choose specific topics within a skill? ▼
Yes! Under Advanced Options, you can check off specific subtopics (for example, just Functions and Loops in Python) to generate a targeted test focused only on those areas.
Can I set a time limit? ▼
Yes. You can take the test with No Limit (relaxed self-study) or choose a 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30-minute timer. If time expires, the test automatically submits your answered questions.
How is my overall score calculated? ▼
Your score is calculated as (correct answers / total questions) * 100. It is evaluated securely on the server to ensure accuracy.
What does my topic-wise score mean? ▼
For each subtopic, the test calculates your percentage accuracy. Topics with 75%+ accuracy are classified as Strong, 50–74% as Developing, and below 50% as Review Recommended.
Can I retake the test? ▼
Yes. You can retake the test as many times as you like. Each retake pulls fresh randomized questions from our verified question bank.
Can I save my results? ▼

Can I compare previous results? ▼
Yes. Your test history displays past attempts, allowing you to compare your scores and track improvement over time.
Does a Skill Test prove professional expertise? ▼

What should I do after completing the test? ▼
Review the questions you missed, read the detailed explanations, review your "Topics to Review" list, and explore the curated free courses recommended in your results.
How are questions verified? ▼
All questions in our bank undergo educational review for accuracy, plausible distractors, unambiguous single correct answers, and thorough explanations.
